MONOLOGUE MONDAY

Today's political climate has a lot of people thinking about how the world might be better off without someone in it. It's just a fantasy of course, I'm no Luigi. Here's Oberon's totally innocent thoughts about Nick Bottom (photo of Michael Donnelly playing Ron) in "The Fall After Midsummer". *and here's me hoping my account doesn't get suspended for posting a monologue from a play about Shakespearean fairies and toxic relationships.

RON:
If I was going to kill that ass I would have done it myself. It would have been personal, not business. I would have wanted to feel the life drain out of him, his pulse getting weaker against my hands as I squeezed his throat, forcing him to look at me as I watched the tears streaming down his face, and I would have licked them up and swallowed down his fear, his salty meager feelings, and he would have known that he was a pathetic speck, a drop of nothingness about to be forgotten, a mere mortal who could never have been truly loved by a queen such as yourself as long as I existed in this world.
